The zoo is now in the autumn season
As the autumn falls between the summer and winter, it is a busy time because the animals are transferred to their winter homes. All of the houses and enclosures are open, and animals can be viewed in most summer enclosures. Please note the African Safari is closed. However, the Lemur Restaurant - external link is open for meals, and the miniature train still chugs all the way from the meerkat house to the lion exhibit. Be sure not to miss the spooky Halloween week at the end of October, which coincides with schools’ half-term holidays in the Czech Republic.

There was some concern over the mother as she had experienced some health problems last year. Although she seemed to be okay during her pregnancy, no one was sure if everything would go well. However, the cubs were born between 6 and 8.15 a.m., with their trouble-free birth being monitored via CCTV.
